Subframe weld?

Has any one ever had a broken subframe welded? I know of a very reputable frame shop that says they can weld my broken subframe and even beef up the other rear mount. He claims the welds will hold as good as a new one. Any one have any experience with this. The price is pretty fare too, between $200 - $300 depending on whether I want the other side done too. The price includes a 4 wheel alignment too.

Yup, I've seen a welded sub frame. Talk to Pro_Banshee off of here. I was there while it was welded, he is happy with it and it is holding up.
