I made a trip to the dealer, and picked up the SF recall kit. I see now what is going on. The tabs that hold the nut have failed due to corrosion (only on the passenger front sf mount area). What I need to know is after the bolt is cut, what needs to be done to secure the NEW SF nut to the frame in order to allow for the bolt to be put in? My friend suggested drilling holes and tapping them, then putting bolts in and grinding down the heads.. whatcha think? Thanks a bunch :)

You can drill a hole and put a wrench on the new nut, or jam a screwdriver in there. IIRC, the new nuts will not turn while torquing the subframe, and no wrench is even required.

I'd start by running a tap through the new nut to remove the locking portion so the bolt will spin freely through. Fish out the old bolt and nut and place the new one in there. Depending on the access you can get hold the nut still while tightening the new bolt. Once you get it started the weight of the subframe pulling on the new bolt and washer will allow you to torque it down to 85 ft.lb. specs.

You will be able to get something to hold the nut plate through the existing hole. I didn't have to use a wrench, but I planned on it if I had to.

There are two tabs in the channel, so if niether are usable the plate will catch on something and you shouldn't need a wrench.
