Hi all,
I am installing a wavetrac this winter, so I have my subframe out of the car. I wanted to get your opinion on good things to replace (bushings ect) while it is out of the car. A little info on things already updated....ALSFB, new LCA, reinforced MM's and fairly new sway bar endlinks. Thanks

I would install the ALSFB's along with the "recall kit".
Check your end links, motor mounts, sway bar bushings, tension strut rod bushings, and lower ball joints.

P.S. This should have been posted in the suspention section.

:)

Yeah, it should be in suspention section.....must have been thinking "Trans" since that was what I was in the middle of pulling.

ALSFB, motor mounts. lower ball joints and recall kit have all been done. Definatly hit the sway bar bushings and tension strut bushings. My sway bar end links seem okay, but how do you tell if they need replaced? Cleaning up some rust and painting will be in the game plan as well.
Thanks

Sway bar bushings, the strut rod bushings, maybe even some rust free strut rods (the ones you and I changed on mine, feels like a solid car going down the road :thumb:). Sounds like with everyone's inputs, and what you have already, sounds like you are on your way. Want any help?

EDIT: Tie-rod ends, steering rack, trans-mount?

replace subframe with gen 3 subframe

It would be nice....however convincing the other half that I "needed" to get a wavetrac was hard enough. I'll have to let this memory fade a little before I start in on something else.

Boat, you have a PM

In addition, have the strut rod cups welded...easy and cheap to do with the subframe out.

Try convincing her to get a $6K custom gear set with it. Only a WaveTrac? Step up to the major leagues buddy! ;)

What is a wavetrac, somthing new?????

It's a Torque Bias Differential avaliable through Shonut Performance. Duafe is no longer making one for our cars. Last I heard they still had some left from the group buy.

Bubba, I'll let you know when it starts to go back together. You Ft Wayne guys should come to an autoX. It would be nice to not be the only SHO there.
