stupid powerband question...

ok heres the question.... where does a stock sho top out in power? around what rpm? just wundering cuz iv been Really rideing my turbo sho hard doing some testing and this is what id do.... engage the clutch in 1st at idle... pin it and once the tach hits 2500 it almost instantly shoots to 6500 and holds there steady till the car catches up(Both wheels spinning). i was wundering if 6500 is where the car should make its peak power since it doesnt pass that mark while under a load but once the car catches up it pulls to the rev limetor.

yes the stock powerband drops off after 6500, there are thing you can do to raise it but in stock form 6500 is peak power

hehe yeah thanks, i was pushin my luck on getting her done for almost no money at all... but i got it done and im quite happy with the outcome of this project... next year=more boost+ic or bigger turbo like lets say a 20g and a fmic. but for now the 16g at 8psi is plenty. iv had it to 10.5 psi or so and it ran great but with out a a/f guage i dont wanna push my luck tho i didnt Hear any detination, i still dont wanna take the risk just yet.
