stuck idling

for some reason when i park the car it occasionally gets stuck at 1500 RPM and wont drop to idle before shutting off.. I checked the (thing that moves for accelerating) in the engine area and thats not sticking at all.. its only once in a while but is new.. I just replaced the ECM computer, maybe i need to reset it again?? figured i would just ask first.. thanks.

Classic sticking IAC valve symptoms. Do you have an ATX or MTX car? If it's MTX, clean the sucker out.

Resetting the ECU can't hurt though certainly.

its an ATX.. so i assume its a dirty IAC valve?? damn!
