strings..

what the heck are the strings that are somewhat attached to the passenger vanity mirror?? i have 2 hanging down now but the mirror still pulls down fine.. anyone knwo what these are for?? their black

I have those two maybe only one though and it has a hook on the end.
i've always wondered what they were for.

i have two of those as well, and i was thinking about cutting them off just this weekend, cause i can't figure out what they're for...

The hooks are used for holding the padding on the visor.Obviouslt they aren`t 100% needed.

Heh yeah one has a hook the others are not showing their ends, but im sure they are the same.. obiviously no need for them since it looks good still and works.. "no fraying"
