Alright so whenever i put the 93 auto sho i just got into gear, it makes a HORRIBLE noise as it goes through neutral. The first time it happened i thought it was my planetary gears stripping. After a little investigating, turns out its the rear passenger door lock actuator. It also makes the noise when you use the power locks.

So, question, Is the Sho made to automatically lock the doors when you put it into gear, or do I have some strange short that causes my door lock actuator to go off? The other door locks don't work so I have no reference point. Thanks for any help.

Yes the doors on the SHO automatically lock when the car is put into gear or when you reach a certain speed. There is a write up on here or just google it on how to disable the autolock feature.

I never was sucker enough to have a fmc auto.

..But apparently you are sucker enough to own Chevrolets!:rofl: Dexcool destroyed intake gaskets FTW!

Actually I got the car at an auction from the transmission shop. Apparently the owner did not want to pay the $2480 bill that the full rebuild ended up costing, and i picked the car up for $500.

@Cobrakid- Thanks.
