Drove fine one day, next day trying to start to go to work, cranks, doesn't fire. Ok, so I take my meto to work. When I come back, I tried hours to figure it out, and I'm usually good.

First, so I put to run the cooling fan kicks on, never usually does that. Stays on till key is turned back. I unplug the fan to not **** battery. The fuel pump also kicks on and stays running nonstop while key in run. Usually shuts off after a few seconds. Did some volt checks. Grounds to ICM ok, yel power ok. Red power out to pcm ok. All sensors getting 12v at there power wire. Changed out the ICM with one I knew worked before, same issues. Must be something shorted or something. I havn't checked for spark yet, daylight ran out.

Also I plugged the code reader up, does nothing, pcm doesn't even recognize it nor does anything when i click to test.

I'm at a total lost, any idea?

about half a year ago.

Could be pcm, I have the newer 93 pcm in. I'll put my old one back in if I still can't figure what else could be wrong with it.

Hooked up timing light and its got spark. Sprayed some starting fluid in it and fired up for a second or two then died. Not getting fuel injected. The pump is working, and still doing the other symptoms.

Fuel pump is sounded. Push in the fuel pressure valve, fuel shot out to hood, got pressure. So its not injecting it? Any ideas?

I had a bad check ball/valve in mine would literally have to put the gas pedal to the floor to get it to start check feul pressure with the key on and then off i know a little searching will get you the right pressures but that still would not explain the electrical issues

the cooling fan turning on when the key is turned to on is a symptom of the pcm not being connected properly or not grounded properly. I would disconnect that big connector, clean and reconnect and double-check all the grounds.

Guess what. found the problem. Bad ECM! Can't believe it, thought they were good. I unplugged it and plugged into my old 90 ecm I saved. no cooling fan. fuel pump on for only 2 seconds, and cranks and drives perfect. Plugged the 93 one I had in for a year and *** me no problems till now, same shit!

If you haven't thrown out the bad PCM yet, I might be interested in checking it out for burnt traces/blown caps. I have a friend who can rebuild it.
