I have a huge overheating problem. The needle on the temp guage will get up to the red zone after about 10 minutes of driving or sitting around.... the fan will come on a few times but then the fan either stops comming on or something. A little history.... this all started before I did the front 60k.... I have replaced the waterpump, radiator, thermostat (3 times, finally has a ford unit in it), ECT, temp sender, and radiator cap. Last winter I had to put a new heater core in.... the thermostat at that time exploded and failed shut.... which i replaced and everything was good up til about a month ago when the temps started getting higher. I have also replaced the dash cluster thinking that the guage was just reading wrong. Didnt change anything. I had a mechanic read the temps from the radiator and it was reading around and above 215 at the radiator and around 225 at the upper hose.... which is way too hot... The car heats up too quickly... which leads me to ask if there is any place in the cooling system that some restrictions could be made, or can the hoses reduce flow of the cooling system? Or could there just be air in the system that is not working its way out at all.
