Ive posted about my tranny issue a couple times already and thought i came to a conclusion but im still not sure and ive searched (a lot). Ive been driving the car for about 1500 mis now on a tranny that i think has bad blocking rings and/ or syncros in 2nd 3rd and 4th gears. Basically when i drive if i yank it into any of those gears I avoid most resistance and it grinds a little. 2nd is the worse by far then 3rd and 4th really isnt even that bad. If im driving hard 2nd is a no go unless i double clutch. If i double clutch (properly) i avoid any grind in any gear, or (this confuses me) if i hold in the clutch for about 5 secs it goes into any gear no problem. I suppose the 5 secs lets the engine rev down enough to go in but i would think that even at low rpms there would still be a slight grind. I just installed a drain plug in the trans and went from auto trans fluid to syncromesh and there werent any shavings whatsover in the old fluid, needless to say the syncromesh didnt help any. I also had a new clutch installed 1500 mis ago thinking that a bad clutch was originally the issue. Everything seems to be adjusted properly in the linkage and cable as well. The characteristics of the problem have remained the same for the last 1500 mis and nothing seems to be getting worse.
If anyone hasnt gotten the jist at this point the trans is a mtx, the year is 95. So is it just what i think? Fugged up blocking rings and/or syncros? Or could it be something else entirely. I dont know these trans inside and out so any input is appreciated!

(no ebrake right now) Cable seems to be adjusted just fine engagement is fairly normal, i feel like i have to let the clutch out quite far to engage actually which i assume is normal and leads me to think i dont have a disengagement issue. I purchased the car with the issue and thought it was a bad clutch causing a disengagement issue. I had the clutch and TOB replaced and the shop never checked the fluid until the end, when they went to replace it there wasnt any. I have no idea how long the car was like this and driven without fluid but i figured blocking rings were toast because of this i am just confused as to why different clutch techniques and usage cause the symptoms to vary so much. The car goes thourgh the gears fine while off as well. Ill probably try the mobil1 next, however $40 fluid changes get expensive just to chase a problem.
