Heres the deal:
when braking after the car warms up, I have to pull up on the brake pedal with my foot to get the brakes to release all the way so I can move again. It has been an issue since I bought the car last year, but it has become worse and worse, especially when it is warm outside. It wasn't all that much of an issue when I would drive on the freeway to work everyday, but this Seattle traffic has made it an issue. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can replace to fix this?

Can't remember what causes it but some have fixed it by putting a helper spring to pull up on the pedal.

A helper spring sounds like a poor fix for a potentially dangerous problem (no offense intended) If this problem gets worse as you use the brakes or as the temperature increases, then it could possibly be the master cylinder. Inside the MC there are 3 "cup seals" that expand to hold the considerable pressure the brake system creates. If these seals have been exposed to any petroleum based lubricant they will swell up and cause problems. Another posssibility is that the square cut seals around the caliper pistons are shot and can no longer pull the piston back off the rotor when you release the brakes. Does your car pull to one side when you brake, as well? it sounds like you've either got contamination or bad seals, or contamination that made the seals bad ;)

You need a Power Brake Booster. It was very common on the Town Car,Crown Vic's,and Taurus models in the early to mid 90's.Replacement of the Booster is not very difficult either. The replacement of this will stop the brakes from dragging on you.
