I'm going to put in an aftermarket CD player. Does any one know where I can get the wiring harness so that I can use the stock speakers and amp? What is the part number and how much are they?

Thanks,
Efren

I got mine from a place on ebay. They sold me a "Ford Premium System Harness" and a "Ford OEM adapter" harness for $18.00 shipped. The premium thing bestbuy didn't have instock nor did my local circuit city.

Quick service from this place as I had my harnesses in 2 days. Gonna solider my stuff up tonight and be ready to install my player tomorrow.

all I can tell u is before you connect the wires to the stereo, make sure they line up with the wires in your car... I bought a harness from Circuit City and they (I think) gave me a harness for a REGULAR Taurus  eek! all it took was swapping a few wires in the harness... not hard.

Ok, I got the plug for the speakers. But the other plug is a standard taurus plug. Does anyone know which wires need to be switched? I wanted to use the stock amp. Is that posible or do I need to bypass the amp? Or better yet, if any one has a copy of the helms manual where it shows which wires go where.

Thanks,
Efren

If I were you I would bypass the amps. I tried using the amps, even bought the attenuating adapter, and it sounded like crap. I just recieved my bypass harness yesterday from Crutchfield and it sounds way better. The only problem is I can no longer use the factory sub. It was going out anyway and I was planning on putting my own in.
