Car Clinic of Dallas, TX....
Sold me my '92, told me the clutch was a year old....
ONE WEEK LATER, it EXPLODED...
A week after that, idling in the driveway, it dropped a rod through the pan..

Now, thanx to RubyDist, it has another engine, a new clutch, TOB, and PP..

If they werent 5 hours from here, I would sue them..

LOL.... The clutch went out pulling out of a restraunt parking lot,
And it threw a rod sitting in the driveway, charging the battery..
Thats the sad part... If I was racing a Camaro, I would have a cool story to tell...
Nope, blew up idling in the driveway... Thats *** as ****.. hahahaha

Well most dealers will not drop the pan on a used car to check the bearings before they sell it. As for the clutch, just do a search on this forum. lots of low milage clutch faulures, some only lasting weeks.

Im sorry about your proplems with your car but hey this stuff happens.... EVERYDAY Why do you think used cars are cheaper then new ones?? If used car dealers checked / repaired EVERYTHING on a car that was a wear item they would go out of bussines, just too darn expensive.

Sure some dealers are theifs and will sell a car with a KNOWN problem but this always isnt the case. Im glad someone stepped up to help you with your swap.

sucks about the rod though. it takes more than a spun bearing to do that.
