Most recently ive been having a few starting issues, ive got a 95ATX and it starts fine or sluggishly when cold depending on its mood. After the car has reached operating temperature and I shut it off, if I attempt to turn it back on shortly after without letting it cool all I get is a single very faint *click*, no turning over or sputtering, no starter.

After about an hour of cooling I can crank, although its sounds very slow and congested. Any advice? Plugs, plug-well gunk? I had my crank position sensor done already about 5,000km ago stopping my abnormal stalling when I was driving. Should I change the plugs, and how much of a pain is it with an ATX? Anything special I should be aware of?

Starter motor, battery cables, battery, or connectors.

This is not an issue with plugs even if they require service anyway.

I had the same problem and did all three, turned out to be the starter. If I were you, I'd get the battery load-tested at an AutoZone before buying things...
