Hello everyone.

I am having a problem with my 95 SHO, getting it to start. I have had 3 of these cars in the past and have never run into this problem. I had originally thought it was the coil pack, so I ordered and installed a new one. That didnt resolve the issue. So I looked into it a little more and made sure that all my fuses were good and they all checked out. The battery and starter are good as well. I just dont seem to be getting power to the coil pack somehow. When I unplug the cable from the coil, I only have power on the 2 outer prongs of the plug, the ones in the middle have nothing. If anyone has any information for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Power to the coil should be on the RED/Lt GREEN wire. The other three wires carry the firing signal (a ground) from the DIS module.

The crank sensor controls the spark check for leaks near the crank,if there are none check the connector signal, its located on the other side of the ignition module at the top of intake.make sure you crank the motor while testing it.

btw, the typical cause of 'crank, no start' condition is a bad crankshaft sensor, much more likely than the coil pack, although the coil pack and dis are also possibilities.

best to check for codes to see if there are any clues there before throwing money at it.
