I've been reading around and it seems like the starter/wiring is generally a common problem. Well here's mine. I've got the infamous starter click. So i thought i had to replace the starter ( Free replacement warranty on the starter, just replaced 7 months ago by a shop). Anyways i jacked the car up and there is a wire that is not connected. It is a small gauge red wire that runs parallel to the ground coming off the starter solenoid (93 SHO). I tried hooking this wire up to the ground wire, no good. I don't think it goes to the solenoid. Is there a wire that goes to the starter itself? Any thoughts?

There is a large ground wire, a large wire coming directly to the battery and a small wire that goes to the solenoid from the ignition switch. Does the small wire have a female spade connector? Slip it on the solenoid terminal.

The wire does not have any connector on it(bare wire). I tried hooking it up to the solenoid, again just a click. I'm gonna pull the starter and get it tested. *Can you upload an image on this post or does it have to be a link to a web site?*

I just thought I'd give an update. The starter was the problem (replaced) and i hooked the red wire to the positive side of the solenoid. It wouldn't go anywhere else.
