I'm looking for the SPOUT check connector #1. I know its supposed to be back near the PCM, but it's such a mess back there I haven't seen it. I hope to get in there this weekend and dig a bit, perhaps take the intake off, I'm sure it could use cleaning anyways.

I thru an error code #219, which is "SPOUT signal defaulted to 10 degrees BTDC/SPOUT circut open". It may not be connected, when I had the '89 engine put in they forgot a few other things, which I've been able to discover, so I want to check and see if it's even connected/whats up with it.

Should be right over by the diagnostic connector for the PCM, looks like a black plastic cap w/ two wires coming out of it.

if it is connected it could be the result of the computer going out. That was the case with my SPOUT...i kept getting the same error, the one you mentioned above. SPOUT connection was fine, The computer was sending the wrong signal somehow, but once i replaced the computer it worked just fine....just another thought for you if you can't find anything wrong with your SPOUT

If the gray SPOUT plug is properly installed, then either the PCM, the DIS module, or the wiring harness is defective.

There is a specific diagnostic routine in the PCED for this (and every other code). If you need it, I can post it next time I get a chance.
