Got a ticket in my 95 for doing 80, but my cruise was set to 75. I had someone follow behind me and indeed the speedometer is off by 5mph at those speeds. I realized my SHO just turned 11 yers old, but what can cause this to happen? After looking around on the net, I've come across a Speed Sensor. Could this be the culprit? If so, would this be an easy fix?

It wont be the speed sensor. Its more than likely the head. It can be adjusted, I have done mine its very fine work you must be carefully. www.shotimes.com has a procedure for doing it that SHONUT wrote up. Finding a GPS will make the job a million times easier too.

You could also have taller tires than came on the car stock. I believe one tire size bigger would yield a 5mph speed difference at those speeds.

A search on this subject might yield you alot of information
