So, I injured my hand and am unable to change my spark plugs out before I upload my tune from AJP. I called the dealership and the want $400 and said the intake manifold has to come off. I have looked it over, the inboard plugs look to be a b*itch, but come on man, gotta pull the manifold and charge pipes off?

no you don't have to pull the intake. just loosen the crossover pipe and uncouple it in the front and you can get to them. to make it even easier take off the strut tower braces. this is like a 20 min job.

Look - that dealership - I would avoid like the plague. I just did all of mine, and I am far from a born mechanic. I did prep my job by getting a couple of items. First you dont have to replace the coils, however I had seen others posting on YT and ecoboost site talking about breaking the coil rim around the edge if you need leverage - it gets fragile and if you apply enough pressure the cover can break. So I got new coils from SummitRacing:

ACCEL Super Coils 140646-6

Part Number: ACC-140646-6

Some Dielectric Grease:
Summit Racing™ Dielectric Grease SUM-849999
Part Number: SUM-849999

LASTLY a magnetic spark plug removal with affixed extension to avoid the oops, I dropped the new plug.

Summit Racing™ Magnetic Swivel Spark Plug Sockets SUM-900235

Part Number: SUM-900235

As far as the firewall side of the engine, or right side - remove the PVC sensor to get to the plug, remove some of the vacuum connectors for the cylinder nearest to the Brake Master Cylinder.

My first time absolutely sucked even with two arms. The boots were the hardest part just take you're time. Plugs are super easy. So don't force anything just keep wigglin'

As said, never take your vehicle there for any kind of repair ever. If the coils are stuck on the plugs it is a pain in the butt. If they are not, it is easy and 30 minutes tops to replace all six. I've done it without removing anything, i loosed the charge pipe bolt to give a little more space, but with a good set of wobble extensions you don't even have to do that.

You don't need to remove anything to replace the coils and plugs. At least I didn't on my 2013 3.5L EB Interceptor. I really like the Pulstar plasma plugs and the DUI Sultans of Spark ignition coils (specifically). A definite improvement in throttle response at the low end / midrange.
