I am looking to do a tune up on the 98 and found a couple questions which i need answers.

AWSF32FM - Whats in the car now and what is recommended by most and is only available through FOMOCO
SP432 - Offered by most non-Ford parts stores.

Motorcraft.com lists both on their website and both are listed as "Platnum Finewire" but the only thing that is different is one is says "Nickel plated shell" and one does not? Whats the true difference (besides the nickel plating for those smartasses :)) between the two?

There is also a difference of almost $4/plug b/t the AWFS and the SP's. Is the extra $4 worth it for the AWSF's?

SP432=AGSF32FM

The only difference between the two plugs is the thread configuration. The AWSF is partially threaded, the AGSF is fully threaded. Other than that the plugs are identical.

The AWSF's have been discontinued for over 3 years.

Get the Autolite XP 104 Iridiums. Better plug and there's a rebate on them too of $1.50 a plug.

Thanks for the answers Chris and Paul.

Being discontinued is probably the reason they are damn near $10/plug. And Paul thanks for the heads up on the other plug, i'll have to keep that in mind!
