spark plug popped out?

i may of actualy killed my turbo sho... or it may just be a plug that popped out, but im just wondering if anyones ever had a spark plug come out before? if so then sweet. cuz i gave it a rev and flames shot out what looked to be the center rear cylinder right around where the sparkplug hole is.. its a hollow sound comeing from only one cylinder..

thanx, im trying too, but its such a pita to get to the rear plugs. and im not about to remove my intake iv done it b4 without removeing the intake but it aint easy.

Take off the little black canister on the back of the intake and it is much easier to get to. I use a long extension, easy as pie.

Thanks... i may of did that the last time around... but its been years so i dunno, if i didnt then i'll give that a shot thanks man. i just hope its just a plug and not something more like a blown manifold gasket. id have to remove my whole turbo kit to replace it if it is. sigh... im gonna go out and try to get at the 2 plugs i havent retorqued.. why must it be sooo cold out?? grrr. :thankyou:

Hopefully it was just loose. This is common on other fords where they didn't put enough threads in the heads to hold the plugs under pressure. You may have had something worse happen. I would remove the intake this time just to get a better look.

i just found the problem, one plug exjected the whole center electroid. so theres peaces of it in the plug well and a hole str8 down the center of the plug, might of been a platnum :: puke :: i think the car had all platnums in it when i got it, i think there was one plug that i couldnt really get too and i mite of not changed it. ill know if i can get all the pencle lead looking peaces out.

see the plug? you can kinda see the center electroid laying in there to one side of the plug. i have no clue how imma get the electroid out b4 i take the plug out. im thinking about useing a vac.

iv tried magnet on a stick... non-ferrous metal =( so i tried bubble gum on a stick lol... iv tried needle nose pliers but they was'nt long enough i dont think... next thing i was gonna try is a vacuum. im glad you said vacuum cuz i was thinking i was a lil coo coo for thinking that hehe glad im not the only one but thanks for the ideas man i appreciate it

You probably experienced detonation, which resulted in high cylinder pressures that popped the plug. Lucky thing, a hole in a piston is next. Dial down your boost.

You could try to blow it out with compressed air too, if you have it available.

Vacuum is a great idea. Even home units have the hose attachments these days if you don't have a shop-vac type available. You can use some duct tape on a stick or with needle nose pliers but a vacuum hose in there would be good.
