Having just been through getting a flat with my 2013, running over some flashing (roofing) with a nail in it where the nail didn't stay in the tire, was wondering if anyone had put a "real" spare in place of the "temporary mobility kit".

While the compressor with the built-in fix-a-flat got me home from 5 miles away, I'd love to have a real spare that I could actually GO to work and drive home again without worrying. The way it was going, the goo held air in the tire to a point, but only enough to be able to get somewhere to repair it.

Put my own snotty-rope tire plug in it, and it's good to go - maybe I need to carry my repair kit in the car... :snicker:

Again, wondering if anyone had found a spare tire/rim that fit in the trunk in place of the foam, and fit over the brakes of the SHO (not that they seem so big that an 18" rim wouldn't fit)...
I know this is an older thread, but for those of us looking to find a donut spare tire/wheel solution, since these cars are AWD, no matter if correct bolt pattern, it must also be same height as the tires on the SHO. The drivetrain will be happy and your billfold will thank you as well.
