Has anyone removed the tire mobilization kit, and actually put a factory spare in the trunk. Issues? I have a 2011.

Yes.

Picked up an alloy 18" mini-spare T-165/70D18 from an Ebay salvage yard off of an Explorer FB53-1007-TA.

Also picked up the jack assembly and the plastic trunk retaining nut from Ebay as well.

Did front & rear test fitment, but never drove on it.

No, Im talking the factory 20" rim. Ive done the measurements, and It looks to fit the trunk space. The offset stud even line's up with a lug hole in the rim to tie it down. The tire will not be flush in the hole, but thats no problem. I'm asking if anyone has ever done this. I want to get rid of the tire replenish kit.
