Had family issues come up

Sorry for the late reply. I ended up at my grandfather's in Sarasota as he had to get some stints put in his heart at the hospital. He's doing fine now.

Sorry I missed it. Sounded like it was fun. Guess I'll have to wait till next time to break something :)

As far as another track day I'm definitely down for that assuming I can get good tires in time. The Michelin Pilots on this car are horrid. I won't even go into wet traction.

Next time a round of beers are on me (or pitchers).

yeah you only find select models here and there that are decent

and they also change designs very fast, something you found working 3 months ago might not be what they have now...... 9 out of 10 of their tires are economy minivan tires

but I do notice the soft sidewall/lighter tire/better balancing/smoother riding attributes of Michelins when I install them.

They ride great going straight or driving like a sane person.

Not so much when you turn, or go above 80 or so. For an all-season they are quite useless in rain. Reminds me of bald tires almost.

Ohh well, anyone got a decent set of 245/50r17's they wanna unload? :)

Are they OE tires? Pretty much all stock tires suck. All the Michelins I've experienced were good tires.

Yeah, it's the Michelin 235/50r17 MXM4 Pilot's that came stock with the 06 LS Sport. Pretty crappy.

Too bad the rims are only 17x7.5. If they were 17x8 I'd be able to just buy some 255/45r17's and be done. Lots of tires to choose from in that size.

Ohh well, I'll work on wearing these out while I make up my mind. Shouldn't take me long.
