Does anybody have a source for the brass washers that seal each side of the banjo fittings on the fuel rails?

My friendly Ford dealer tells me that these parts are no longer available through Ford, and I am leaking enough fuel there that there is a strong odor of gasoline in my garage after I park the car, and the car takes a fair bit of cranking in the morning to start up again.

I got my last ones from a Ford dealer. However any local parts store should carry washers for this application.

They're copper I believe and you might be able to find them at a regular auto parts store or a good hardware store.

Yes, they're copper, they're cheap, and you can often get them by the dozen at parts stores. Should be an easy thing to obtain if you look around a little.

I think one or 2 of them are a special shape and/or are a bonded rubber to copper washer. Dunno if they are really all that important or would regular copper plain ones would work ok.

I've seen (and used) ones that were non-copper metal (gray) that worked fine also.

Be careful when replacing them. The one on the bottom of the FPR is a little different than your average washer, and I found that out the hard way when I pulled my fuel rail to polish it. The car didn't move for a week until I figured out what went where.

Oh yeah...you might could find em at a boneyard.
