So I decided to drop the fuel tank...

I had a hard time starting the '90, and the fuel pump was quite loud. Pressure check had it at 14psi .

There was this odd patch in the fuel line, and also some pinches in in another spot, so I figured someone had already been in there before and bought some fuel line and connectors preemptively, glad I did lol!

Once I got the tank down there were even more patches, and LOL the rollover valve just bouncing around.

This is the correct grommet for the rollover/vapor valve.
I also purchased a Doorman 911-001 but I didn't love how it clipped into the tank and didn't end up using it. The old valve seemed well enough, just the grommet had disintegrated.

I ended up rerunning the 5/16s return/pressure lines to the front to get rid of those kinks/dents and to eliminate / reduce joins in the line.

The car runs much better now, and it doesn't smell like gas when it's parked in the garage!

One question: does anyone have a source for the little fuel line clip things that run along the passenger side and hold the lines up? Or a model for a 3d printer or something? They were previously mostly held up by zip ties, and I'd like to not do that :D.

Yep, thankfully we don't use salt here, and this car has been mostly parked for several years. So no rust or anything, they went back up with out any issue.

As luck would have it, I DO have one whole clip. Want me to mail it to you?
If you don’t mind, could you snap a couple pics of it next to a tape measure?

I know it’s probably not a high demand part, but I’d love to draw up a 3d-printable model so folks could make new ones when needed.

Thanks.

Sure thing, sorry my scale is rusty and old, I think the single 5/16 clip side is a bit distorted.

Both mounting holes measure 6mm ID

I took a stab at modeling this clip, and I think I have a decent first draft:

I printed it out last night, but I don't have the print with me at the office. I'll take a pic when I get home and update this post.

I'm not 100% confident in the shape and scale of the part though. @excidere, if the offer still stands, I'd love to have the part in my hands to do a more precise job modeling it. I can send it back when I'm done, and I'll include however many duplicates you need as well. Thanks -- let me know.

Yep, offer still stands; my fuel lines are mostly held up by hopes and dreams anyways. PM me your address and I'll get it out to ya!

DM sent.

Also, I forgot to post my test print pics last week, so here are some I shot just now. This was just a quick print to check dimensional accuracy, but it's kind of a complicated part to design without being able to measure everything directly, so it's probably not 100% correct.

Once I get the part in my hand, I should be able to design something that's dead on size for the original. Thanks again @excidere!

I mean, to be fair, the pictures did include a ruler.

Edit: In case that was a serious question, I scaled the pics until 1mm on the pictured ruler was actually 1mm on my screen, then I was able to use my calipers to measure all of the features and sketch the basic shape in Fusion. The parallax and depth (i.e. the dimension going away from the camera lens) adds some distortion and decreases my accuracy a bit, but it’s usually a pretty decent starting point.

They were pretty good pictures.

That's pretty nifty.
