can i change just the pulley ? is it easy.i sprayed wd40 on the belt and the noise temporarely goes away.i changed the belt and the idler pulleys and its still there.any advice anyone.

Just because there aren't classic symptoms of a bad water pump here the pump bearings are toast. Once those give out, then you'll overheat... its only a matter of time. You would be smart by changing it now than having to have your car towed when it overheats.
