Sound systems

I just purchased a 1998 SHO and it has the Mach sound system. Is this system supposed to have a trunk mounted subwoofer like the Gen II JBL system? Did the 96 and 97 SHOs have a different sound system in them?

I believe that only the '96's had the trunk mounted woofer.

Yeah, 96's had the jbl sound system with the sub. Ford switched to mach in 97. www.v8sho.com has a write up on how to add a sub.
