New to the SHO FORUM, but I'll be around now, I am getting my 93 Taurus back soon, but the guy whacked the harness on the radio to put in an aftermarket cd head unit, I want the stock head unit back so I can use the dash mounted controls, and because I like the look of the stock. I fif alot to it audio wise, and like the fact that you cant tell by looking at the car that it has 2-12s, Xplodes in door and rear, and 1000w RF.

My problem is that in the pic he sent looks like he whacked the harness, and electric taped and spliced his new harness in instead of just spending some money and gettin the lil harness converter at walmart or better ( arg  )

Can anyone point me to a place that will have a pin out and possible color code if needed to rewire the stock head? I think he threw away the harness, so I may have to find me one somewhere...

its a 93 LX 3.8L (I know not SHO, wish it was tho) but hard to find places online to post my problem, and figured maybe you guys could help or shed some light on it for me.

thanks in advance...

Try a junk yard and look in the Ford Rangers too because I notice they had the same harness as my Taurus L because my freind has the same year as my L, but a Ranger and I gave him an extra spare connector deal that the previous person on yours refused to buy and make things easier. Hope that helps and you can get it for free probaly from your junk yard if that's the only thing you get or just put in your pocket which isn't that bad since they rip us off and make killer money for good cars they buy. Heck I was curious to see what they'd offer for my car and they quoted $125, so now I have no feelings when taking from them, but I do buy parts also. thumbs_u

In 90 the wiring haresses I believe are all the same color up to 95 I believe in all Fords. If not (rare) I'm very sure there will be some wiring experts in the section for wiring that can help you out and match up the wiring. Good Luck. :)
