looking good!I went to the track today. I tried it the new downpipes. Hot pipes didn't arrive today they'll be here Monday.
Saw some decent times and MPH. Still a ways to go but not too shabby.
The DA was 1307
That's looking a lot better! Nothing changed but the crank relearn? You're just a decent launch away from 12.6-12.7. Others may have different suggestions, but for me this simple procedure produced unwavering 1.81 60' times on cold 440 treadwear Kenda's:I went to the track today. I tried it the new downpipes. Oh wait I missed the part about downpipes. Still 13's? You seriously ought to take a pause from modding and figure what's wrong with the carThat's looking a lot better! Others may have different suggestions, but for me this simple procedure produced unwavering 1.81 60' times on cold 440 treadwear Kenda's:
1) Ignore your tachometer.
2) get staged and stand on your brake pedal.
3) At first yellow stand on the gas.
4) At third yellow let off the brake.
I'd have to go back to my logs, but IIRC that allowed for launching at about 2600 rpm and 3 to 5 psi of boost without pushing through the brakes. But also bear in mind I have respect for my engine and don't lug it like some of the commercial tuners do. At 2250 rpm I'm still running stock boost targets. So what works great for me may not be ideal for others.
I am starting to push through my brakes if I don't time it's just right. So I'm kind of past that point. LOLThat's looking a lot better! Nothing changed but the crank relearn? My last run was the slowest one night had because I pushed through the brakes, l red lighted. Unfortunately my reaction was to let up on the gas momentarily it was a 13.9 pass at 106 miles per hour.Oh wait I missed the part about downpipes. Still 13's? I have data logs for the night I just haven't had a chance to look at them. What I suspect is I'm ******** up my brake release.time for a data log.
I sort of realized this recently. If you are going for time don’t worry about the tree and focus on RPMS. If I push through my brakes I spin the wheels which instantly slows me down by robbing 60’ time. I think the SHO’s sweet spot is a little over 2k RPMS.Well I'm starting to push through the brakes. So shallow staging is a bit of a touch-and-go situation. As it is the fastest run I had was when I almost pushed through the start line. LOL. I think I need the time the spool up a little better. Look at the time slip of my last run. The reaction time is just about a red light.
Oh I forgot to mention. The fellow with the Kia stinger refused to race me after he saw my quarter mile times. Putting me on and finding excuses not to race. What a chicken spit.

WOT box time.
2200 to 2000 is the better spot and if you go to 2500 ish I read you can **** the TQ converter.Thanks.
Yeah, I think that is what is part of the problem for me. Going to have to practice my launching technique.
Plus thank you for everyone else for their encouragement and suggestions.
I always preferred corners when I was younger. So going drag racing is kind of a new experience for me. I've never Street raced either. Not that I haven't drag raced before this. But my experiences at the drag strip up until this car have been fewer than fingers on one hand. LOL.

Oof, I feel for you man. I got rear-ended two and a half years ago by a lady doing the lane change. Blue hair take care. This was almost 2 weeks ago now, but had a 77 year old lady decide that the rules of a double turn lane didn't apply to her. She nailed the back end of my car pretty good. Fortunately she admitted fault, and the responding officer's report stated as much as well. So her insurance is definitely paying for it, but getting it done right is the next step.
We had a ton of bad storms around here lately that did lots of damage from downed trees and what not, so the body shop can't get me in until the 22nd of September. In the meantime I'm back to borrowing a Buick Encore. The SHO at best might be alright to drive, but at the very least she messed up the alignment when she hit that back tire. It doesn't feel entirely right on the road and especially not backing up to that side so I'm letting it sit till it's fixed.
The estimate came in just shy of $5,000. I'm guessing it'll end up being more when it gets taken apart, and that's where the fun of fighting the insurance to pay for everything will come in I'm sure.View attachment 81689View attachment 81690

Does she own a fishing boat as well? If so. I'm in love. Just kidding.Track was rained out this weekend but the SHO is a little faster. I finally removed the front door panels and speakers. I blew my back out so the wife removed the rear sunshade and the drivers seat. She drilled the seat bracket out for the Kirkey and installed it. I double checked the seat bolts when I took the picture and they are tight. She still loves me! She also tore down her Explorer ST to the intercooler and put it back together this weekend. Good thing I can do the dishes...
