My intercooler came in yesterday as well. I was hoping to swing by a dealership and grab some fresh coolant for the install tomorrow.
No such luck, looks like I gotta catch and reuse.

Too late already done, but that woulda been much easier, because man does gettin those coolant lines and fan wires out suuuuuck. I thought about the crash bar, but I couldn't find any metal cut off wheels left in the garage.

I did manage to **** a considerable number of the plastic push fasteners. Luckily I have learned to always have some of those on hand. I also had to use a few zip ties in some spots. Specifically the bolts in the wheel well that hold that lower tray on. Those wouldnt budge, ended up snapping them out and drilling new holes for zip ties.

Now I wait for the tune revision to really take advantage of this thing.IMG 20200920 121040757 IMG 20200920 121045200 IMG 20200920 121049442 IMG 20200920 121100090 IMG 20200920 092640074

Swapped out my coils last night (msd failed) and when I was doing this I decided to open a couple of the turbo to intercooler pipes to see the horror I may have to clean out soon. To my surprise I discovered not a single drop of oil residue in the intake track. I wiped out the pipes I had out just to be sure I wasn't missing anything and sure enough, shop rags came out clean. Guess I don't have to worry about draining the IC anytime soon!

Played with a Stinger GT on the highway today. Only got one good run in, but he was definitely not tuned. Let him get the hit, passed and pulled on him real hard. Really nice car for a Kia. I know with mods they can be quite a beast.
