Played around with launching on street a bit today. Anything over 2k blows the tires off. Need to upgrade to some 265s.

275s fit the rear just fine, but I wouldn't go over 245 on the front, it may rub the shock

Yeah you really never see it on gas motor setups.

Only ones I can remember off-hand is the MKIV Supra and the Mazda RX-7. However, I’m sure those crazy Italians and Germans have done it.

Just to cover the bases, all of them, are you saying you can run 275 wides with the following:
Stock wheels
Stock ride height
Stock suspension
And no wheel spacers?

Stock Rims: No but on 8.5 or 9 inch rim you can.
Stock Ride Height: Yes
Stock Suspension: Yes, they still fit with H&Rs as well.
No wheel spacers: Nope.

They are on the one i just bought, there are little orange ceramic spacers that go in the back if the rim but i don't think they are actual spacers they're like 1/8 inch thick theyre TWS 2 pieces. Suspension is stock, ill have to check the rim size51243ee5500e63df8436e6eab5bdd3a1

Aside from high end Porsche’s, there really aren’t any gasoline engines that use VGT turbos. They are stupid expensive to produce because of the material needed to cope with the EGT’s.
Also, the amount of tuning knowledge required to adapt a control unit to open and close the actuators at the exact times on an engine that didn’t originally have a VGT is vast.

THAT BEING SAID, they are really cool technology.

Yeah lol I know but these days they are getting cheaper and more common, im hoping in the next 10 they become common, yeah i get all that but he'd be the first to do it on a taurus, maybe even first on a ford lol

So real quick yeah I added the XDI 35 and DW300C LPFP, MSD Coils, EPP Dual CAI, front mount intercooler, nitrous chiller bar, wheels a half inch wider and about 1 pound lighter, Braille lightweight battery, Kirky lightweight racing seat and now phenolic spacer coming with drag radials. Edit Also 13+ Exhaust Manifolds ported and GH Turbos ported as well. I don't have the tune on **** it, I have it set for a chance of survival. Think of it as stereo with the volume turned up but bass turned down slightly so it still sounds good.

It's a chess game. Turn boost up but knock sensors on a leash so they can't add spark that's capped to 18-20. Can't go above 1.6 load under 4k rpm. It's a stock motor. Last low 11 second SHO still running so it IS part of my goal to try to keep it that way.

Last low 11 still running? You mean stock internals? Or have the others blown engines and moved on to other ventures?

Don't forget that alot of those gasoline cars don't use a V config. The Supra and alot of the German cars were inline 6 or 4 etc. Mazda rotary and diesels a little different animal. Programming it from scratch would be a bitch

Stock internals but also built internals hanging from chains. Built motors, stock motors and trans all breaking around 11.5 or better.

Given the placement of our turbos, I would think that our configuration would be the best chance for a V motor to run sequential. Since the turbos are so close to each other already.

I do concede that it’s unbelievably expensive and likely not worth the benefits. But, if money were no object it would be fun to see.

Well this sucks today I called the shop to see about getting my car in so I can install the motor, trans and PTU and everything else and the guy told me it's not a good time he is too busy and it's just him. it's going to be another 3 to 4 week cuz his coworker is out for 14 day quarantine. :madflame: FML. Now I'm scrambling calling up other shops to see if I can get my car in

Got new rubber on the stock wheels today. Pro tip, when it's 95 degrees outside you should always pay attention to the direction arrows on the tires BEFORE you put them on and tighten the lugnuts, not after...
