I finally installed the SP-534 plugs I bought last April to go with my Livernois tune. I knew the plugs in the car were new when I bought the SHO in 2015, so I wasn't in a hurry. They were the same part number, and looked clean, but the gaps were all .035. I also added a half quart of fluid to the transmission, so I am now ADA compliant... I mean Livernois compliant... for the V11 93 Performance tune, which also went back in today. It doesn't seem as insanely quick as it did last year when I first installed the tune, but maybe it's just that the car needs to relearn my "tuned" driving style again. I took the tune out when all of this V11 shift controversy started. It seemed to shift just fine today, but it also shifted fine when I first installed the tune last year. My two test drives today just haven't been enough to convince me that it's fixed. Time will tell.

Coincidentally, when I first fired the engine after installing the plugs, just before installing the tune, my "Change Oil Soon" reminder came on, and reminded me every time Livernois had me turn the key to run. Annoying! I know, I could have reset the timer to 100%, but I was anxious to get the tune installed. My test drive was to Walmart to buy oil/filter. 48,335 miles - reminder for later.

What a PIA it was changing plugs 1 and 3. I gave up yesterday, and gave it another shot today. Success. Not for the faint of heart, or someone with massive hands. Plus I have ZERO strength in hands anymore, so I was using everything I could find to lever the coils out of those holes. Also had to Macgyver my old spark plug socket (ran a piece of twine through the center) to hold the plug for installation, since my new plug socket would not come off the front three plugs without use of needle-nose pliers. Thank goodness for abundant and/or worn out tools.

I used to love working on my own cars, but I no longer have the arm strength, back, hands, or vision I had when I was younger. PTU fluid change... I'll tackle that in the spring. Need to order the fluid from Amazon.
Get a spark plug socket with built in extension. The one I have was from Autozone for a whopping $10 and had a magnet in it to keep the plugs but pulls right off once they are seated. Also removing the strut tower bar will make the back plugs noticeably easier to get at.

That is correct. You want the air going to the intake manifold filtered and the drip tube on the PCV valve side.

Tell me how you make out, i'm debating on blacking out all my trim, not sure if its gonna be a pain in the butt? Thanks...

Here it is. Unfortunately, It didn't come out as well as I'd like. I might remove it and pay my local shop to do it. As I stated in another thread, "good from far, but far from good."

just tinting the front window to match the back will be a big help. I know some state don't allow this tho.

Here in BC it's illegal as well. As I'm in Law Enforcement, my hands are kinda tied. LOL. Maybe after I retire next year!

No professional courtesy?

Gave her another quick wash. It's been 2.5 years and 38k miles, so I swapped the SP534's with SP542's gapped at .028. Cleaned the two 3-bars and she's running strong.

Made some progress at the shop today (finally).

After 3 attempts from the Ford stealership sending incorrect radiators, 3rd time was a charm.

As such, was able to get the Gearhead Intercooler installed today, as well as the new/fresh set of SP534 plugs, and new coils from MSD.

The latter having turned out to be an issue because despite my wiring harness depicting a 3-PIN coil (which I previously ordered last year) turns out they were actually 2-PIN Coils for my model year. Ugh. Go figure.

Anyhow, slowly but surely.

Oh and btw, the new IC from GH..... goodness Christ the fit and finish is simply phenomenal.

I mean spot on fits like a glove. No F'n around. Pull out the old OEM one, drop in the new one, and wallah.

Just true, true piece of craftsmanship. Bravo!9f1c7803faf316aac9fb52761d83424fE332027e31d53ee1cf3c9ebf713a53c637aa478c6009cc889e8fa023d8382bd6

Well, after getting the right radiator, the GH IC & MSD Coils installed, we attempted to move onto the new, upgraded fuel injectors from DW.

And then we hit yet another snag. Seems like we've had nothing but delay, after delay. So the wiring harness was/is at a different angle then the OE Injectors. The retaining clip did not seat properly, and finally the connector wouldn't plug in, and closer inspection yielded the pins do not match.

Ugh. So after several phone calls, emails that included pictures, and get the chief/lead engineer from DW involved, we learned that there is an applicable adapter harness for the 2010 model year, which we were not aware of, and nor is advertised on their website.

DW is doing me a solid though, and is air shipping out the adapters to me, free of charge, for all the hassle's incurred. Which was/is very cool of them.

DW Injector has the orange nylon o-ring. The OE Injector does not (for visual differences in the pics).

Spent Saturday in front of a grinding wheel, and I ground down what I needed to on the steel retaining clips, to make them fit and seat properly. Fun times!

Also, we got the front crash bar re-installed, as well as the head assemblies, and more importantly the new aux trans cooler from Derale (with fan). Had to purchase all sorts of fittings, and a switch to run into the interior/cabin. Started the wiring on that as well.

Very, VERY CLOSE FIT! Like this/close! In order to provide just a tad bit of breathing room, we installed a single washer between the back side of the front crash bar, and the front side of each frame rail.

But all in all, she's resting well in the area just atop the crash bar.

Pretty much it for now. More work set to occur for this coming week. Stay tuned..... 96cfcfbdfa3db0419720bf9e76d09b9d3719ceb1906e167e7f3cb7778dbbbbaaCecd327d31d2860ca0ba31ca50a3bca8Eb855fff19db19a57143024e8abd0a9a9ce3bf0708eb8450d481c56cf2917d8e619f7d674995f66443aae0f04e130b9804dd3d6ef08580087ea91b5a4bdd0609Ae2315056a81302d7ad4062d5a8b9d085f1104ca4de0dbc6a46baf03fe788907

I think this video link will work, not sure.

Anyhow, after having been dismantled for nearly a month, with numerous (unexpected) delays..... finally got the SHO back up & running today. Woo Hoo!

Still have a few things left to wrap up, but we're 90 to 95% of the way done.

So here's a list of the new parts installed:

New upgraded/larger Intercooler from GH.
New upgraded/larger injectors from DW.
New upgraded DERALE Aux Tranny Cooler.
New upgraded/hardened Trans Mounts
New MSD Coils.
New MC 534 Plugs.
New OEM Radiator.
New OEM Radiator Hoses.
New Front Wideband o2 Sensors.
New LED Light's in BOTH Heads & Tails.

Also did a complete flush on ALL FLUIDS..... Oil, Trans, PTU, & RDU.

Hoping to finalize everything by this weekend, and then plan on driving car (gingerly) out to Livernois Motorsports either this coming Monday or Tuesday for the following:

New/Revised Custom Dyno Tune.
Installation of the LMS Upgraded HPFP.
Installation of the new LMS Tuning Device.

Finally, I'd like to thank Mr. Matt Hencinski owner of Finishline Cars located in BOTH Lockport, IL. & Joliet, IL.

I owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for all the instrumental work he performed on my SHO, as well as allowing me to get my hands dirty in order to get down and dirty myself.

Here's a short video link, which I think will work, along with a couple of pics of the new trans mounts.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/ak8gEXwFii7rhb9U9

Finally, I snagged a fully functioning torque converter for my 2010 (which has 4 bolts, not 3 like most other model years) from a SHO he parted out. I'll be sending this off to GH for modifying/fortifying/upgrading etc.

Even more great times await! As always, stay tuned..... !
