In anticipation of next weeks install(s) of all my performance parts gathered over the last 9mo.'s, I fired her up for the 1st time in a few months today.

Woo Hoo, she's ALIVEEEE !!!

I also motored on over to my local stealership, and snagged me 12 qt.'s of MERCON LV for the low low LOW price of $6.09 p/qt.

Crazy that trans fluid can be had cheaper than what the RP HPS oil runs me.

Anyhow 19 days left until Spring officially starts. I can't wait til the warmer weather finally arrives.

Pulled the SHO out, took it for a short drive to fill up the gas tank.

Returned home and loaded up a good chunk of the goodies into the car.

Then, before returning the SHO into it's resting place, I chose to cut up some old, left over carpeting from the old house and use it on the concrete floor.

Not sure if that will be of any benefit, or not? But someone in conversation told me about storing cars over the winter and the tires reacting to the concrete or something. **** IDK. But I had it available, so meh. Whatevs.

Picking up my car today. It had a black vinyl wrap done to the roof. I'll post a pic later.
Headed to Vancouver later today to look at wheels and tires.
BPD: Any regrets on the staggered setup? I'm seriously considering it. I've had a staggered setup on both my BMW 7 series and my Lexus ls460 and loved the look.

No regrets. No issues whatsoever to speak of. From at one point DD duties, to drag strip, autocross/road course, to spirited romps on the street, I've never looked back.

Very important to remember that one MUST keep the variance between front and rear axles at 3% or less.

Playing with sidewall height as it relates to rim width will achieve that goal. Trying remember my #'s I think I was at like 1.1% difference.

Been like 7yrs now. Geez.

Lots of unintended delays since getting over to the shop.

Myself, wife, oldest and youngest daughter all got horribly sick. It was bad. Bad enough that we ended up taking oldest daughter to the ER. Ugh crazy.

Then my mechanic pal fielded a concerning call from his neighbors where his 2nd home is at, way up in Northern WI. that informed him the nearly 30" of snow on his roof, was causing damage. So he had to get up there and do some major snow removal which ate into our time.

Anyhow, we FINALLY got started on the SHO today.

Ended up taking the entire front crash bar off, and angling entire front carrier forward to provide us with ample room.

Just turned out to be an easier approach rather than fighting for what little room was/is in there. Not to mention all the wiring for the LED's all throughout engine compartment, meth lines, etc. made it even dicier so we just said to ourselves "F it".

Glad we did. Sooooooo..... since everything's apart, we're gonna replace the radiator (since mine's original to the car) & trying to find out if the P.I. one is any bigger than the civilian variant.

Also, gonna do some clean up work on misc. parts, and already dropped off the front crash bar to my powder coater (might as well since it's off the car).

Installing an addt'l aux trans cooler as well, this one with its' own cooling fan. Gonna mount it atop the front crash bar where there's just/enough room to clear everything.

Trying to continue being smart about my mods, as I always have been.

Off to start doing some parts cleaning......

Hot damn my PC'er is good and fast. Front crash bar's already done. Just picked it up. Also I am working on the plastic piece that fits over it.

No more rust to ever worry about creeping up there.

Forgot to mention besides the GH intercooler, I purchased a new Performance Pack radiator (has the fittings for the PTU cooler) and although my OEM radiator is fine, it is 9yrs old now, and rather have piece of mind moving forward.

I also am fitting another aux trans cooler to the SHO.

This one with a fan on it, and fits ever so nicely atop the front crash bar.

I finally installed the SP-534 plugs I bought last April to go with my Livernois tune. I knew the plugs in the car were new when I bought the SHO in 2015, so I wasn't in a hurry. They were the same part number, and looked clean, but the gaps were all .035. I also added a half quart of fluid to the transmission, so I am now ADA compliant... I mean Livernois compliant... for the V11 93 Performance tune, which also went back in today. It doesn't seem as insanely quick as it did last year when I first installed the tune, but maybe it's just that the car needs to relearn my "tuned" driving style again. I took the tune out when all of this V11 shift controversy started. It seemed to shift just fine today, but it also shifted fine when I first installed the tune last year. My two test drives today just haven't been enough to convince me that it's fixed. Time will tell.

Coincidentally, when I first fired the engine after installing the plugs, just before installing the tune, my "Change Oil Soon" reminder came on, and reminded me every time Livernois had me turn the key to run. Annoying! I know, I could have reset the timer to 100%, but I was anxious to get the tune installed. My test drive was to Walmart to buy oil/filter. 48,335 miles - reminder for later.

What a PIA it was changing plugs 1 and 3. I gave up yesterday, and gave it another shot today. Success. Not for the faint of heart, or someone with massive hands. Plus I have ZERO strength in hands anymore, so I was using everything I could find to lever the coils out of those holes. Also had to Macgyver my old spark plug socket (ran a piece of twine through the center) to hold the plug for installation, since my new plug socket would not come off the front three plugs without use of needle-nose pliers. Thank goodness for abundant and/or worn out tools.

I used to love working on my own cars, but I no longer have the arm strength, back, hands, or vision I had when I was younger. PTU fluid change... I'll tackle that in the spring. Need to order the fluid from Amazon.

I really Hope Livernois steps up there game and rework there tune. I'm starting to have shifting problems Very odd my car is like a bucking bronco sometimes and other times WOT absolutely nothing for a second or two then it moves but not really too smooth definitely needs to be revisited by Livernois. I hope they can fix this problem. I've read AJTurbo and Gearhead tunes are kicking ass. Gonna give them a Buzz next week.

Still waiting on new radiator to come in, and need to get a part to expand the nylon o-rings on the new injectors so they seat properly.

Performed some cleaning of the factory transmission and aux trans cooler this morning (blew them out with compressed & brushed them both clean).

Then decided as long as it was all apart, I'd do some cosmetic work on them as well with a 1st ever coat of rattle can gloss black enamel from Rust-Oleum.

Turned out much nicer. Just the little details that get looked at up close.

Not much time to do anything else, as I work tonight & Tuesday night. So, let this paint dry properly, then hopefully hit again on my upcoming days off.
