Currently getting “the works” done, with a full synthetic oil change. Then will be putting in the air filter, cabin filter and new wiper blades.
Then as soon as the tax return hits my bank account, I’ll be ordering the noise maker eliminator pipe.

I keep staring at my new GH intercooler sitting in the box in my garage. I was gone all last weekend. The SHO gets strapped on the dyno tomorrow at 9 am to see if she cracks 400 awhp in this cool weather. Then maybe next weekend I can get around to installing the new IC.

I'd be over in the ST forums somewhere if I had been able to fit into one. But I wouldn't trade you guys for the world. Just thought you should know.

Haha, I am over there as well. I dont post. It is my daily and I will not modify it. It is pretty impressive in stock form. I dont fit perfect in it, but I fit good enough.

Only thing that has frustated me so far....it literally ran out of gas with 23 miles left to empty yesterday. Needless to say...I wasn't happy. However, "NOW I KNOW!" lol.

I traded an ST in for my SHO. Damn that was a fun car!!

Honestly, the ST is riot to drive. It is pretty quick, handles well, and looks great. Mine will probably get limo tint all the way around, and maybe some H&R Springs that is about it.

Mine was lowered with H&R springs. 15% tint and 40% on the windshield. Garageline spacers all the way around. 25mm rear and 20mm front. turbosmart 50-50 BOV and Steeda intake. So much performance for such a small package.

Well sorry guys, she just wouldn't crack 400 awhp tune only. The air is crap here in Phoenix. So these are the numbers I am using a my baseline pre intercooler install. 388/463. Going to Ford right now to get a new T-Stat, and coolant. Then I will get home and start taking her apart.

Is what it is.

388awhp in less than ideal atmospheric conditions (tune only mind you) is nothing to sneeze at.

Remember, the SHO platform ranges anywhere from 277 to 285 awhp from the factory.

So you're looking at an approximate 100 awhp gain. Impressive! Be proud.

Factoring in the previously documented 23% to 24% AWD drivetrain loss, your looking at roughly a ***** hair's worth over 500hp at the crank.

Again, be proud. Especially knowing this is Pre-Install of the intercooler.

IIRC, GH's own testing showed an approximate 40awhp gain, and as others come onboard/online with their own IC installs, are seeing 50awhp gain.

So even better #'s are forthcoming.

Eh as long as you know your tuner is extracting all the available power safley that's all that matters.
Every car is different and location plays a big roll too.

Do you know what your baseline was?

Exactly my friend. I wish I had a baseline when I started the quest for an 11 second SHO. However, the new IC is in and it is WORTH EVERY DAMN PENNY! It dropped my IAT2's in the same weather 45 to 50 degrees. It lowered my boost pressure, and the car was crab walking in the 1st to 2nd gear shift. If you are on the fence, jump off and get on the GH IC intercooler train.

Couple of things. The GH Intercooler tabs were bigger then the slots on the radiator. Also remove your oil dip stick and put a piece of tape over the hole. I broke mine off, and now I am going to have to extract it. If you have a PP, you will have to remove the PTU coolant hose from the radiator, along with dropping the trans cooler off the brackets as well. Also I would go to Ford and buy at least 10 of the push tabs because you are going to destroy them all.

I ordered up a new set of front, wideband, 02 sensors today.

This because the current set that's in there, from wayyyy back in 2014, had replaced the original's that came with the car when it was purchased new back in 2010.

So not wanting LMS to have any tuning issues with the SHO, once it heads out to Michigan after I install all these performance parts I've been accumulating over the past 8mo.'s, I figured I'd err on the side of safety for when my install appointment occurs in the next 2 weeks.

Besides, Chris Curtis (R.I.P.) was instrumental in scrambling to get me a set at last minute, when D. Millen was tuning my SHO (for what would be the record power and speed runs) and the original's needed replacing. Better safe than sorry.

Got my noise make eliminator pipe from EcoPowerParts, and ordered the tstat from Livernois yesterday. Going to have both installed this friday. I guess it's certainly overdue for the coolant flush. 102k, never been done!

Where is the best place to get the coolant? Ford, Amazon?

Coolant directly from Ford. I bought mine for $22. Mix it with distilled water 50/50 in your case being in Orlando.

Make sure that is right before you order. Figures you got the in between, harder to get, more money fluid. I think you need almost 3 gallons of liquid for a complete fill. 11.4 quarts or something. So 2 gal of concentrate to mix and have leftovers.
