YeapTook a 300 mile road trip yesterday, averaged 24.6mpg. Maintained about 80-85mph the whole time, kind of disappointed. Is this normal gas mileage?

I need to replace my brakes again, the ****** power stop rotors are warped and sound extremely sketchy from a high speed stop. I'm looking for good quiet brakes preferably a kit with rotors and pads.
What do you guys think about these?

Just upgrade to the 2013+ 14" rotors/calipers in the front. For less than 350$. And use semi metallic pads. Ceramics are low dust but need higher heat to create the same friction as a semi metallic. Couple that with the lower mass and smaller diameter of the stock 2010-2012 rotors, plus the high speed and weight of a sho and u have a recipe for warpage. I did my fronts last year and they're awesome. Have police spec pads and slotted StopTech rotors. I have the pads and rotors for the rear, Just need the calipers to install the rears.Power stop right into ccccuuurrrrbbbbbbb!!! On a for real note, same setup I have... sounds like a Mack Truck stopping inside my cabin from a high speed stop... no steering wheel shimmy though..

Driving the explorer sports at work, I notice less pedal travel and a firmer pedal feel compared to our 2010-12. Ours require a bit less effort, more travel and a more squishy feel. But as far as stopping power/ brake line pressure...I don't think there's any difference. Before the swap, at 140mph or higher, my stock brakes didn't do much after 3 seconds of standing on the pedal. After the swap, they will try to pin u to the steering wheel from 130 down to 0 without fade. Night day difference. That's just with fronts. Side note : the coming hpfp, what kind of hp gains are to be expected with this? Haven't seen any hard numbers /dyno runs for even the lms f150.Yup, that is on my to do... saving the pennies though for a HPFP..... figured I would finish wearing out my brakes before replacing them.

Ahhhhhh! Things are making sense. Those throttle closures to control power output underload. Evident by the waves observed in a dyno graph on one of the ecoboost vehicles. You filled in a blank for me. Thanks.So my guess is with the 30% increase in flow will allow me to run more ethanol and allow me to push more load without using the throttle closures to control load (which helps the fuel pressure dips)
If you have ever had a tuner setup a tune without throttle closures to control load it's pretty sweet... changes the whole character of the car...
So not having to worry about dips in fuel pressure and open throttle is worth the money to me...
