I don’t have anything as nice as a shop with a lift. Just a pretty large 2 car garage. Work benches and walking space along the back wall and one side wall. That’s with both cars in it. But I love my 1.5 ton mini split! Nothing like pulling a hot car in on 95 degree SC day. Hit turbo on the control and have a comfortable space in 2 hours. If I’m detailing or anything else I drop the temp to 72 the night before. Low humidity and very comfortable.

I got space outdoor for a 2 and 4 post lift, but I am using QuickJacks for the time being...

How do you like them? I’ve been looking at those. They’re the ones from bendpak aren’t they? I’ve used a floor Jack and Jack stands but that’s one side at a time. Those seem like the answer since I’ll never have a lift in here. Definitely a step up anyway.

Its primary purpose is to shut down the alternator for increased fuel economy. It will only charge the battery to 80% and then shut off. Then it cycles on/off while driving to keep the battery at 80%. As you drive ,the system switches back and forth between battery and alternator depending on load. If you disable it, the parasitic auto shut down feature still works and you will get 100% charge rate to the battery. If you ever upgrade your stereo with amps you'll want the BMS disabled.

Interesting to know! Any thoughts on why it's killing power as soon as I turn the engine off though?

Well today I temporarily put together and installed the control panel fuse box that will replace where the battery was hopefully next week I'll relocate the battery to the trunk.. In a few weeks I'll be putting together a write-up post for the battery relocation and control panel fuse box. But for now back to stock put the battery back in . So when I do the battery relocation next week all I have to do now is screw everything back on.

Its either a bad/weak battery or you have something staying on draining the battery. Keep in mind that the auto shut down only monitors items that its programmed to watch on the CAN bus such as lights or outlets. If one of the many modules isn't shutting down then it will drain the battery. Might wanna go through your fuse panels and check to see if anything is staying on about 3 minutes after shut down. Try turning the BMS off for a week and see if there's any difference.

I love them. I don’t have the height inside my garage for a 2 or 4 post lift. I could put one outside, but that's kinda annoying. This was a great compromise. Setup is a bit, but once it's up, clearance is awesome, definitely higher than a jack and jack stands.

QuickJack fan here. Got them 3 years ago, only wished I had them long ago. Great customer service. My pics are not on the highest blocks.

Which model Quick Jack do you guys use? Our cars weight about 4300 lbs but if I were to buy one I'd also want to be able to lift the wifey's SUV and my truck ~5,500 lbs.

I've got the 7000, but I've got a pickup that I also use it for. The 5000 is good enough for your average sedan though.

I finally found my low vacuum problem after like a month of (lazy) looking. Ended up being that little one way disk valve by the brake booster. If anyone needs to order that line the new part number is fg1z-9c490-f, the picture does NOT show the entire vacuum line section but it is correct.

God this is getting so annoying every time I go about half throttle down the road to pass somebody I can hear the air sucking into the intake then I hear a whistling noise. Sounds like my 8th grade coach blowing the whistle at on the football field.. Hopefully this will go away when I finish putting everything back together under the hood..
