I agree. How did the cut springs look?

I followed the instructions here:
https://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php?topic=5204.30
and it turned out just as expected. I always thought it seemed a little bit "jacked up" and this just settled it a bit. Noteworthy tips:
1) Cut half the height of spring that you'd like to have the car lowered. For example, we cut ¾" to lower the car 1½".
2) In the eatondetroitsprings link on the above forum thread in the OP they indicate that cutting enough to lower 2" is an ok amount to cut (that would mean to cut 1" of spring height). I'd be a little concerned about cutting more than we did because when we replaced the springs they weren't quite tight between the control arm and subframe. If we took the full 1" of spring height to lower it an additional ½" I'm pretty sure the spring would wiggle around in the seats at full extension. He's gonna wash it today and then I think I'll take some pics to post here. Maybe some side by side son and pop SHO pics.

That's the one we cut the springs on yesterday. Plus it has some nice dark tint. That's soon on my list for the dadmobile.

I absolutely love this. My son, 11, is already planning on paying for half the KBB on my 16 SHO when he is 16. If everything works out right I plan to use his payment as money down for a 2019 SHO.

My 17 yr old inherits my last car...a 2006 Impala with fewer than 65K on the clock. He's into Porsches though and I have no doubt that'll be the first car he pays for.

Chimes in the son. I love it. My youngest works in the high steel with me these days, it's very rewarding. My youngest in an SHO though, no way. He's too nutty and already wrecked the the 06 Denali I gave him.

Yeah, whenever I get in his car the average MPG is always ~ 14ish. I guess he'll learn after his first ticket.

You would hope they learn after the first. Mine did not. He wrecked his ride racing a turbo charged range rover.

My brother-in-law told me there was a buzz around his work that people were talking about some SHO that has been running at US 41 drag strip that was laying down some fast times.

Turns out that SHO was me!
