As the title says, I'm needin to pull the starter, and so I got the car up on jackstand now, and I can easily see two bolts to the starter. The Chiltons says I need to remove some starter wire first though, does anyone have a good diagram anywhere that I can see easily or maybe a step by step write up? Thanks.

I replaced my starter about two years ago and am having to do it again this weekend.

I did the wires last when taking the starter out and first when installing it.

You will sweat more as youll have to hold the starter with one hand and install the wires with the other but no big deal just make sure disconnect the battery cables and use jackstands you don't want the car to fall on you.

Come in from the front of the car and you should be able to see the wires and nuts very easily.[flashlight should also help]

The wire and connectors are on top of the starter.

Directly under the oil filter you may have to spray some engine degreaser to get rid of the oil that has built up on the wires and connectors from all the oil filter changes, after cleaned the nuts should shine a little bit making it better for you to view.

This is how it's on my 92 not sure if the starter is different on yours.

There is a bolt on top a nut and stud on the bottom. take the nut off then the wires off the stud then take the stud out. then the bolt. wrestle the starter out with the cable still attached to the end of it. Then take that cable off. on my 90 I have enough room to drop it to the ground and let it hang while I take the cable off. That cable is on a small bolt and it's a real PITA to get out in the car.

15mm deep socket for the ground cable nut and 13mm deep socket for the upper stud-bolt and lower bolt. Remove the positive cable with a 13mm socket-under red plastic cap. Also unplug small wire; you'll see it as you lower the starter.

Draw a simple diagram of the bolt and wire locations and mark the wires with masking tape. This cheap insurance to make sure you reassemble everything properly. It's an easy job.

Don't forget to disconnect the battery first!

Well I tried gettin to it, but sadly due to my families lack or organizing, and great ability to lose tools  I know of a mechanic that actually comes to your house and does the work for you. He's only gonna charge 30 bucks, so thats not too bad at all for me, he'll do the work in the mornin. So I'll let yall know if its runnin tomorrow or not.
