snapped stud

I replaced my rod bearings yesterday and when i went to bolt up my oil pump pickup tube to the oil pump i snapped the stud.There is still some of the stud in there that broke eveen with the ******. Will it be alright to put back together or should it get replaced.... this is my daily driver so?

You need to replace the stud. If that gasket leaks, your oil pump will suck air not oil. No oil = no SHO.

Grab what is left of the stud with vise grips and unscrew it. Then replace with a new stud. You will probably need to get the replacement from a parts motor (time to make friends with other SHO owners in your area).

Like Mike said, get the remaining out with vise grips, then replace with another stud or use a bolt, it's easier than installing a new stud. I don't know the size at the time, but there's been a few people that have done this and the information is provided on this forum somewhere.

If this is for the oil pickup tube, the stud is the same as the ones for the thermostat.

Go to a hardware store with the broken pieces of your old one and get a replacement, just make sure it is good and hardened. Oh and if you can't get that stud out with vice grips drill a hole in it and use an easy out to remove it. If that fails then you're going to have to drill the whole thing out and helicoil it.
