OK, well I just dropped my car off at a shop so tomarrow they can work on it. Going to the shop, I started to get on it hard. Got it up to about 6k then I tried to shift, but when I put the clutch pedal down it was very "soft" and there was this noise sounded like a chain. I didnt shift because I was affraid of hurting something. It is hard to describe but is this normal or is something goin bad on me.

I was pulling out from a stop sign, then i got on it pretty hard. Was in first, then treid to shift to second. Yea it still makes that sound. Its really wierd and hard to explain. Its only when I want to shift at 6k or higher in first gear, (cant get much higher) and I have only got it up to 6k in 1st gear. Never tried anyother gear. The noise and softness all happens at the same time it seems.

i dought it that usually happens at low rpms when the clutch is engaging not when its fulyl engaged. Is it a stock clutch or aftermarket? Stock clutches usually dont do that only ill say racing clutches.

Its stage 1 clutchmasters, should I worry about this or just let it go, do I have to break the clutch in. I kno I have to put 500 miles on it. But do I have to like "break" it in?

is there a massive puddle of tranny fluid... is the noise getting louder... it sounds like you may no longer have a differential pin in your tranny... get on the ground and pray... then check the tranny for a hole...

im sorry...

Ok, it has to be either the TOB or pressure plate. Did you say it was a new CM stg 1? As far as break-in, AT LEAST 500mi of stop and go city driving- none of this 6K stuff. Go easy on it and see what the shop has to say. Probably not the diff pin though. You would hear the noise at any rpm and only for a short period of time then.. boom! Soft- as in the pedal was easy to push down? Did it feel like the clutch (TOB) was grinding when you depressed the pedal and the noise only happened when you pushed it down?

Yes, pedal is really easy to push down on but only after 6k, and believe me man, i dont beat on this thing what so ever. I always take care of my cars. That was just like a one time happening. Yea it did kinda feel that the TOB was grinding. Also, yes it is a Stage 1 CM. Maybe has 300-350 miles on it.
Also has new flywheel. TOB was replaced along with the pin. Also TOB sleeve replace. It starts right up, no wierd noises, idles fine, revs fine, and shifts fine (untill after 6k).
