Alrightly....over the past couple of weeks I have been working with the AMR tuner on an E30 tune. I am a huge fan of E30 esp being in Phoenix and only having access to 91 octane. Also it just so happens I had a brand new 55 gallon drum of Torco T85 sitting in my garage.

This is the best I have run with the E30.

Yeah.....

That was with pretty crappy DA, and not on my regular test strip. However there is a new problem. I am in the exact same situation that I was in with my SHO. I have all of the supporting mods to go faster, but I am out of turbo.......again. The only problem is, a decent set of turbos for my car are about 6k. So, the only mods for the future are a pair of drag radials. I bet I could get a 10.5x with a great launch. So yeah.....

Damn, that is fast for a family cruiser, or really, any street car. It's hard to know where to draw the line on mods, not only cash considerations, but extra strain on associated parts. I like right where your at now, easily walking pesky Camaros and Hellcats.

Yeah, it is borderline almost too fast for most situations. Even with moderate throttle manipulation, felonious speeds are obtained not really trying. Getting data logs and running quarter mile times is hairy. I have to go out late at night and pray I get a one and done. In race mode this car from the outside is ear splitting, so even with no one around to see anything, they sure as H E L L hear it for miles.

My only saving grace is, while in comfort it is very quiet....until around 2800 rpms. Other then that, knowing I can drag 99% of the cars I come across from dig or a roll, while listening to talk radio, and getting my ass air conditioned and massaged is the chef's kiss.

Good God I've been away too long, this thing could make a fighter jet blush, I give it 2 months before the itch gets too intense and you have new turbos.

Tariffs are a b****h, shop local, bound to be a few of these beating around the walmart parking lot, I know theres plenty in a junkyard. No tariffs, no taxes, just helicopter noises

or if you want to keep it pure bred you could hunt one of these, little tricky to find state side though

Would you have enough LPFP to run straight pump e85? Or is it the same situation as the SHO where you run out of benefit past e30 anyway?

I don't have enough LPFP to support that level of fueling. Since I am out of turbo at this time, there is zero benefit past E30 right now. However, if I buy turbos then a LPFP will absolutely be needed, and a conversation for full E85 will be on the table.

It is funny you posted this. I am working on something right now, and it is the primary reason why I haven't bought turbos for the E63S right now. I will keep you guys updated.

is it a unimog???
If I had that type of money, I would consider it honestly. Those look rad.

However, this is something I have wanted for 25 years, and I have the opportunity to purchase it. I have to wait for some legal (transferrable) hurdles to clear, but overall it will be a great addition to the fleet.

go ahead keep us in suspense, for the record I think a Unimog top speed is like 50mph so look cool and go through anything but I can only imagine the god awful deafening drone while moving at a snail pace.

Sounds like my life.....most of the time.
There you go and make it philosophical, Like a depressing Vin Diesel quote. "I live my life doing the minimum on the highway, going no where fast with endless noise drowning out any happy thoughts. It's only quiet at a stop light, for those 2 minutes or less, I'm free." But I hear you brother, life can be that way, but at least we have....family.
