Hey guys,
Going from a 91 ATX to an 89 MTX is a little harder than I thought.
Assuming I can get the ECM wiring right, can anyone tell me what I need to make her run? I'm planning on setting it up race car style, toggle switch ignition, fuel pump, and fan with a pushbutton start, then just set up a trick ass switch somewhere for when I would normally take the key out.
I'm basically looking for what I NEED to make it run. I've got a few plugs on the drivers side of the subframe with no where to plug them in, and the harness out of the donor car has already been torn through by someone far enough that I can't salvage it.
I don't need gauges, although eventually an odometer would be good so I don't have to have a GPS running all the time to calculate distance vs milage to know when the tank is low. I'll go through it again eventually and make the cool stuff work, but for now I really need to just be able to drive the car.
I'm guessing there are a few gurus on here that can tell me what I need. It seems like it shouldn't be too bad since most of the wiring I was able to keep on the subframe. I can post some pics tomorrow of the plugs I have no where to plug in. Its just 2 or 3 six pin weather pack type plugs. I've looked at my haynes manual and it looks like all the ECM wiring should be the same, and the plugs are the same on the firewall so that should all pass through correctly.
Thanks guys!
