My understanding is the +20 cams are ground on ATX cores. Does this mean the cam should be set up with an ATX timing belt marks??

UPDATE... I dont know how I did it but my timing marks on my belt are two teeth off the timing sprocket marks... I installed the belt while the engine was on the stand using the drive sprocket / pump marks. I dont know how I got thesee off so bad. :(

Make me wonder now about my cam timing ( between cams) I think Ill pull the covers and check tonight as I now have a factory cam alighnment tool. Start from scartch :) At least when I pull the inner cover I can get to everthing pretty easy.

the cams dont matter. if you are using an mtx tensioner use the mtx marks. if you are using an atx tensioner use those.

edit: hey what size belt is that for the alt? i havent been able to find the right size.

lol its always the simple stuff you look over.

Im guessing you found out the timing was off by trying to start it? did it run?

Dont sweat it , We all did our "stupid" moments. Happens to me all the time. The good thing is to fix it before something REALLY bad happens.

The A/C delete belt is a Gates K060420, this works for my 94-95 set up , I have read that others have used a Gates K060405. I Have heard there is a slight differance between the 1989-1993 and 1994-1995 years so maybe this makes up for the differance between the belts .

The P/S delete belt is a Gates K040350

Cool - I like how you're running no AC or PS on the motor.

Have you ever run it before and after removing the AC and PS ? Was there a noticable difference in how it liked to rev?

I'm going to loose the AC and PS on my 3.0L when I rebuild it. I was thinking to use the 3.2L serpentine pulleys, but it's probably easier to just use two short belts like you did.
