Well for an engine to run you need compression, spark, and fuel. And if the engine will just crank and not turn over than I probably isn't starting system related. Unless, it's not turning over the engine fast enough. When my starter went, it went. The engine wouldn't spin at all.

Did you change out the gas in the tank (as well as fuel filter) before trying to start the car? After sitting that long, especially with ethanol as part of the fuel formulation, fuel can go bad and clog the injectors.

Have you checked the battery to make sure it has sufficient voltage?

Changed out the oil and filter? Less likely than the first two to cause the problem, but fresh oil is always a good idea after storage.

No I haven't changed the oil .I know the battery went dead of course from all that time sitting and I dropped a new battery in it and it started right up with no problems but how you change the fuel filter and where's it located?

The fuel filter is in the undercarriage, right under the right rear door. Just relieve the fuel pressure, I just trip the impact sensor and start the car and run it until it dies, then undo the clamp that holds it in, undo the clips that hold the fuel lines on and voilà.
