Couple of weeks ago my SHO would not start. I diagnosed the problem as a failed fuel pump. I could not prime the injectors when I turned the ignition. There was no fuel pressure at the intake.

I recently installed a new fuel pump. The injectors now prime when I turned the key. I checked the valve at the intake, and it would spit fuel with vigor. However, the engine would not start. It tuned over, but nothing.

I noticed that the cooling fan would run when I turned the key, but the ac was turned off. Normally the cooling fan only turns on when it is up to temperature, or the A/C is running.

So I figure that there is a short some where, or a module is dead.

Any ideas as to where to start looking?

Dead CCRM, mounted above the rad. You don't have the test connector jumpered do you?

I also suspect the CCRM if it is not the test connector jumpered as kevinspann said.

It's a 5-minute job to remove and replace so maybe borrow one from a local SHO friend if you can to check.

Of course, I'm sure there is also a way to test it with a multimeter to verify.

Let us know, and good luck!

the cooling fans turning on when you turn the key to run is a symptom of a dead pcm or a pcm that is not connected correctly. If you disconnect the big connector on the pcm, and turn on the key, the cooling fans come on.

you need to verify that the connection at the pcm is good. if so, swap in a known good pcm.

Jose, do you have an lpm installed in the car?
A bad connection at the port will do this as well.

This is what I was thinking. I hooked up a bad computer to my twEECer and it messed up the program. Fuel pump would not turn on and cooling fans ran whenever key was turned on. Loaded all of my files into another computer and that fixed the problem! Sure had me pulling my hair out for awhile though!

try jumping the relay for the fuel pump, if you get fuel at the rail then that means you have a bad CCRM, which is what it looks like it is.
