They came from the same info that your PDF file has, plus a variety of other sources for the aftermarket spring rates.Nick where did that spring chart you posted above come from? Thank you
Literally the only place I've seen the E6DC-5310-FA mentioned in in the service book.I don't see the FA on fpG. I wonder if that is an engineering code vs part number. Have you messaged Chad?
How I measure the rate: weigh yourself. Stand on the spring and measure how much it compresses. Convert that to pounds per inch and compare the number with this table:So is there any way to verify what the dimensions should actually be? And any way to test the spring rate?
Post #17Don't know where you got 125/100 from. What my link says:
Spring Rates lb. / in.
Front Rear
Gen 1/2
Taurus 155 100 As used by all Quickstruts
SHO 200 130
Where did you get this chart? Is this a genuine Ford article?Ford had 3 letter codes. Z isn't one of them. The SHO uses the Heavy Duty springs. Also from my records:
View attachment 90455
Spring, front, code J (2) E6DZ-5310-AJ Spring, front, code K (2) E6DZ-5310-AK Spring, rear code J (2) F1DZ-5560-Z Spring, rear code W (2) F1DZ-5560-A
Info originated fro SHO Nut Performance info. My information will be correct, but am probably missing a few part numbers.Where did you get this chart? Is this a genuine Ford article?
Is the 3 letter code tag still on the spring? There should be numbers on there that can be decoded. If you can, post a picture of the tag.Okay, I'm really at a loss here. Just spoke with Shults Wexford parts and they confirmed my NOS spring, E6DZ-5310-F, is in fact the correct code "F" Spring for my car, but did not have the specs. CSS insists their design is correct, and that their books are correct.
Is there some Ford God anywhere I can find the answers?

There should be more numbers printed on the tag. A picture would be better.
The tag seems to have gone missing (pretty sure css lost it). Hopefully you can get enough from this. There should be more numbers printed on the tag. A picture would be better.
