Come on guys, only 9 more needed! This is a very small price to pay for a quality = length Y-pipe. Think sound and HP.

is it a HUGE difference in HP gain from a catted to a catless. i live in Phoenix and emissions here are pretty tight, and cops do check to make sure there aren't test pipes (i've had previous vehicles checked three times now by phx pd DPS and MCSO) and i'm planning on relocating to riverside california in the spring so i will need to pass smog out there too.

what i'm wondering i guess is, would it be worth it in HP gain to have the high flow catted and the catless?

my guess is there wouldnt be more than a 1 hp difference at best for a mostly stock N/A application.

so as to be able to switch back and forth. the Y pipe doesn't look terribly difficult to remove.

what are you going to change them on the side of the road as your pulled over and right before the cop checks haha...

I'd just get a catted one if I were you, as much as it sucks.. especially moving to california.....

the HP difference is slight, and most argue bottom end power is better with the cats, but we are talking just a few HP here, not any monumental differences.

The only other difference is sound, I prefer the catless sound... many do not

god no, my fat ass is far to big to crawl under the car and try that. lol

it was more for say, if it was a large difference i'd just switch it over when going to emissions to the catted one, or even a stock, and then after that switch back to the test pipe.

i'm ambivalent to the sound issue, loud or not doesn't bother me. and if only 1-2 horsepower could be gained from catted one to a a non catalytic pipe, **** i'll just make up the difference by losing 20lbs.;)

If you are going to be in CA just stick with Cats.

I think it sounds better and your car doesn't small as bad. Also there is a little loss on the low end.

I will be bringing in my MTX for testing to work on the fit up to make sure the y-pipe fits better.

Alright, I'll bite for a catted MTX version, as long as the buy moves along in a reasonable amount of time. Is it going to be shipped in pieces like the SS pipe was?

The y-pipe will not have the 90deg bend.

The y-pipe will be stainless. The headers will not be due to substantially higher costs. Thats why we will offer ceramic coating.

What did you want? MTX, ATX? Headers, Y-pipe?

Is it going to have the same fitment as the SHO Shop equal length pipe where you need a shorter oil pan plug bolt or can we retain the original bolts?

We will be working to improve the fitment but I cant answer the drain bolt question till we get it up.
