We now have the SHO Source Headers made to order: SHO Source

We have had some interest but not enough for a group buy. We have convinced the manufacturer to make them on a one off bases. So you can order them and will be made. If we can get at least 5 orders we can drop the price.

you might want to work on your sales pitch. for SC people if they want to up their output another 25 horsepower it would be a lot cheaper to just dial up the boost than throw on a set of headers.

Well... that's one way to do it, I suppose.

What about the guys who don't have a SC? It is a lot cheaper to get a set of headers than go run out and buy a SC kit. SHOSource has a great thing here and is trying to help us out, let's not shoot it in the foot, especially when the manufacturer is willing to do one at a time.

Headers work great for turbos, too...;)

cause dialing up the boost on an SC car is as easy as turning a ****.. amirite?
I'd rather put on a smaller pulley and change the spring in the blow off valve than put on a set of headers. I'm not saying this isn't a great mod but there are cheaper and easier ways to tack on a marginal horsepower gain with an SC or turbo setup. If anything I'd pitch it to people who want to stay NA...

change the pulley, upgrade the bypass/blow off valve, upgrade injectors, new tune .. $$$$ adding up.

fwiw, rooster put headers on his SC car and it was a night and day change.

once ur in the boost game, or just making serious power for that matter, u realize VERY fast that further "upgrades" are not 2-300 dollars anymore. They become 600-700+ dollar upgrades easy.

6-700 bucks is still cheaper than the cost of headers...

1) know how to tune yourself
2) because boost is so addictive buy larger injectors than you think you will need

and it would also be smart to do some data logging to see if the tune needs to be tweaked from the addition of headers.

theres more to it than just turning up the boost. why not optimize what you already have by adding parts that help the system flow better?

Are cars are not hondas , we cant get 100$ ebay manifolds that will crack in a month... darn instead we have to have only 2-3 companys that even make a good quality product for our cars for anywhere close to a reasonable price . When did people start thinking that modding the SHO was getting cheaper ? seems like EVERYTIME sho source or anyone else for that matter puts out a new part within 3 post ppl are bashing the cost of it.

Seriously.... these are freaking taurus... go buy a different car and flood other forums with remarks to why every part isent made for pennys on the dollar and sold for beans.

rant off.

Thanks mike kurt and matt for bringing us more quality parts

not once did I say that these things cost too much so I fail to see how your post is relevant...

theres more to it than just turning up the boost. why not optimize what you already have?

if people were to truly optimize their setups they would spend unnecessary amounts of money on machine work which will only produce a couple horsepower like knife edging the crankshaft and running an electric water pump...

Because when youre running stock pistons you get to a point where you cant just put on a smaller pulley. Or maybe you just want to make more power with a smaller amount of boost.

If you have nothing good to say, keep it to yourself. Seeing as how he does run ShoSource and you just run your mouth.

I'm so sick and tired of have this SAME :lamer: conversation EVERY TIME SHOSource comes out with a new part. Yes; it costs more. No; it's not perfect. Yes; you would probably have done something different, like build it and offer it for free. If you don't want the headers, then don't buy them. The only time there will be anything perfect is in heaven, and my chariot will be faster than yours. Matt, you rock. Kurt, you rock. Mike, you rock. These parts are worth EVERY DIME to the people who want them and aren't worth a pimple on a cow's *** to those who don't. Plain and simple. Buy it or ****.

OK, now that we have :deadhorse: and :duel: and :fight: can we please return to the topic so we can  and .

Thanks.

We can drop the price if we get enough interested people. This is for the few people who want it as we have not been able to get enough for a group buy.
