Come on Steve, we all can't be great spellers and writers. Look at me, I find I sometimes forget to use words completely in a sentence and they make no sense. Anyways Vince if you're car tends to shut off when it's warm only to restart after it's cooled down a bit, I'd really lean toward the dianosis of a bad CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor). When they fail they will give you the same symptoms that you are experiencing. And as far as checking the codes, that's always a great place to start even though a failing CKP sensor won't always throw the 211 code. Pull your front spark plug wires and look in the spark plug wells to check for oil in there. That could be attributing to your intermittant misfire. Another thing to check when the car dies and fails to start, while cranking the engine check to see if the tachometer is registering anything. You should see something like 500 rpm's while cranking, if not I'd assume the CKP sensor is due for a change. Good luck finding your problem.

Gentlemen,

Steve makes a good point, as he usually does. We are communicating ideas in WRITING. We can't help you if we can't understand what it is you are trying to ask.

Please do not misunderstand, I am not "slamming" anyone. I am suggesting you try to be clearer with your written communication. We are not looking for perfection, and the Lord knows we are not perfect(especially me), but try a little.

Read what you have written and edit it before you send it. Answering your questions is hard enough, but it is even harder when we have to figure out what it is you are asking!

We want to help you. Help us do that. rangerj

rangerj and Steve, you both make great points. I'd totally agree, it's much easier to understand someones question when it's clearly written. Not to mention it makes it easier to respond without having to reread a post a few times. At the time I think I was trying to be funny beer but I guess it didn't come out that way. :) Anyways Steve I hope you didn't take that the wrong way. I really respect your opinion on this forum (along with many others).
